Probers said the victims were in a van when the assailants ambushed them in Barangay Mileb.

The van driver was also killed in the attack. The vehicle swerved and crashed into a tree.

Reports said the husband of the woman is a member of an Army unit based in Maguindanao del Sur.

As of 3 p.m. yesterday, the LPA was located 1,460 kilometers east of Southern Luzon.

According to Stephen David, Guo’s legal counsel, the former mayor is seeking reelection.
