With this win, the Mariners secured all three points and climbed to the top of the table with 23 points.

The first half ended goalless, but it was Manvir Singh who made the difference in the 65th minute. After a dominant spell from the Highlanders in the second half, the Mariners stunned everyone by taking the lead.

Singh, who had been tirelessly running up and down the field, received the ball on the flank and drifted into the middle, seemingly searching for a pass. Instead, he unleashed a curler that found its way into the net, catching the goalkeeper completely off guard.

And it fueled another. In the 71st minute, the Mariners doubled their lead with a brilliant strike from Liston Colaco, who had been buzzing around all evening.

He controlled the ball beautifully on the right, dribbled past Dinesh with ease, and cut inside before placing the ball perfectly into the bottom right corner.
